There is definitely something we can’t explain about New York City. First it’s not a City, New-Yorkers would always call it “The City”. We are used to speak about this city as if it was the center of the world. Why? Go down New York streets, and it feels like you’re traveling the streets of the world. This is a great diversity of people, food, smells, shops, restaurants, which make this city “The Melting Pot”.
The questions when looking around you, either in the subway, in the streets, would be: “What has led millions of people from around the world, to be here? What do they have in common? What do their lives consist of? Do their families live in the country”? We can’t answer all of these questions, but what is 100% sure is that, one day or another, they decided voluntarily to move here. They wanted to become New-Yorkers. It’s not because of the settings of major movies in NY, neither because of tabloids showcasing celebrities hanging around in NY Streets. It has something to do with the will to belong to this world.
It’s the thirst to feel you’re in the capital of the world, The place to be, the place where nothing ever stops, where the word “break” doesn’t even exist! No lunch break, no Sundays, no holidays, no difference between night or day. The perfect place for 24hour party people.
Whatever the purpose is that brings anybody here, whether it’s climbing the social ladder, finding love, or realizing the American Dream, everybody should know that you are allowed free to live here, as long as you’re ready to give the best of yourself, and above all never give up! There is no place for dreamers in New York -These are the rules to live in the most challenging city in the world. And that’s the way you keep on biting into the apple without ever being sated.
