Our second fashion stop took us to London to review the fashion marathon in the British capital. London surpassed my already lofty expectations. Check out our favorite collections from the London runways.

Burberry Prorsum AW15 collection embraced a folk bohemian chic theme. With suede fringed ponchos, mirrored embroideries and patchwork materials, designer Christopher Bailey focus was on high craftsmanship and top-notch construction techniques. The feel is whimsical with an occasional vintage touch. The color palette was dominated by teal, olive and maroon.

Bora Aksu AW15 collection opened up with navy pencil skirt ensembles that developed into more delicate pieces in gothic lace and floral appliqués in pale pink, lilac, soft grey and gold. It was one of the most romantic Bora Aksu collections so far, with an ethereal vibe.

Structured silhouettes, psychedelic colors and fur details are the main features of the Roksanda AW15 collection, which is dedicated to bold and eccentric women. Rich jacquards in orange, pink and blue, wasp-waist dress coats accessorized with metal plate belts were among the signature standouts.

Victorian ostentation and modernism are the bipolar themes that inspired the Mary Katrantzou AW15 collection. Rich brocade, opulent beading in contrast with less traditional materials gave life to experimental pieces such as foam-made paisley and PVC damasks. This show was where ultra sophisticated couture meets tech-glamour.

The Jonathan Saunders AW15 collection was a celebration of technicolors and opt-art prints, which hearkened back to a 60s mood. Source of inspiration included the artwork of pop artists such as Allen Jones and Bridget Reilly. Slim fits, lean silhouettes and clean cuts highlight even more the vibrant color palette that rules the runway. The result is a joyful, optimistic and bold collection.

Silhouettes of nude bodies and shadowed faces were the recurrent motif in the Christopher Kane AW15, which managed to add a sensual feel to the creations. These patchworks of bodies in a variety of positions narrate an intimate story as they appear in different dresses and tops in lace and velvet. These pieces are interspersed with ruffled silk tops, flower appliquéd dresses and draped velvet pieces.
