An army of empowered breast cancer survivors, pregnant Fembots, plus size models, female skateboarders, dominatrix, burlesque artists, and more were the protagonists of the SS15 edition of Lingerie Fashion Week which took place in New York October 24th & 25th. All the collections presented were unique, strong, meaningful and diverse. In its fourth consecutive season, the one-of-a-kind event showcased 25 designers from places as far-ranging as Istanbul, Poland, Chile, Japan, and the UK. For all of us lingerie lovers, there will be a lot on our plate next season! All of this talent made it hard to focus on just six but I think we managed to do it. Check them out and let us know which ones are your favorite!

The Bradelis New York SS15 collection is romantic, flirty and versatile. Floral prints, nuances of red, lilac, and bubblegum pink were interspersed with classical black, nude and white shades. Bradelis is luxury lingerie for everyday wear; combining the best of American function with Japanese craftsmanship.

Lola Haze won again on the runway with her recognizable baby dolls, teddies and bodysuits. Her SS15 collection was minimal, sexy and lounge-esque. Sheer fabrics, metallic gold details and lurex were a clear reminiscence of the fashion from the 90s. This indie brand continues to grow and impress season after season.

Gender-neutral underwear brand Play Out showcased their signature women’s line as well as a highly anticipated men’s underwear debut in an androgynous, gender-bending runway show. It kicked off with an extreme sports performance by All Girl Skate Jam, the first and original skateboarding brand encouraging women to break into the male-dominated skateboard industry.

Designer Stephanie Paterek of NYC Sex Trash debuted lingerie-as-RTW concept Love Cage via a BDSM-inspired presentation including models-as-dominatrix, a plethora of bondage props, and a masked voyeur. The collection combines sultry fabrics and soft fetish detailing with a naughty touch. It goes without saying that this is a collection where accessories play a big role: handcuffs, whips, chains, chokers and leather pieces are part of the game.

Bring on the baby bumps – fellow Lingerie Fashion Week veteran You! As part of the Official Closing Benefit, PinkChoseMe Foundation in partnership with brand Affinitas & Parfait put together an empowering show in which the femininity of breast cancer survivors and fighters were displayed on the runway. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 20% of all ticket sales went to benefit SS15 Non-Profit Partner PinkChoseMe Foundation, a non-profit organization working to educate, uplift and support women whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.
